A CURATED CALENDAR FOR THE CURIOUS SLC EXPLORER
See full event listings at The Blocks Arts District

The 5th annual Juneteenth Celebration brings a vibrant tribute to freedom, culture, and community to The Gateway, noon – 10pm. Live entertainment, artists, a kids corner, celebration walk, Black-owned business expo, and even roller skating with complimentary roller skates (with registration)!

Isn’t summer in Salt Lake City just splendid?
Utah Arts Festival returns with headliners Leftover Salmon, Sols of Mischief, 170 visual artists, 5 stages of dance, music, and literary art performances! Our protip: Slip over on Thursday at 5pm for just $12 and kids under 12 are free!

This came out of nowhere, and we are so excited! Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass serenade at the Capitol Theatre. Herb’s trumpet playing became the defining sound of the 60’s. Now in his 90’s, he’s just as cool, charming, handsome, and musically powerful as ever.

Steppin’ on Main presents Susan Bush and Her Band on the front doors of Eccles Theater. This folk singer-songwriter’s soulful softness will gently slip you into the weekend, 5:30-7:30pm, and add to the Open Street vibes programmed down Main Street from 2pm to 2am on Friday and Saturday.

Level Crossing’s Beer Garden is consistently returning to the Farmers Market every Saturday this summer, and it opens at 10am! AND, this week, phenomenal acoustic blues band, The Good Lews play a free performance. Come grab your vibes, veg, your beer, and your bread!

We’ve always been intrigued by the Sanctuary of First United Methodist Church on 2nd and 2nd. A recent press release gives us several reasons to visit today. A performance by The Gloria Quartet, which includes former students of the Gifted School of Music; the historic stained glass windows have recently been refurbished; and the venue is considered “acoustically phenomenal” by performers; finally, and most impressively: the Church is raising funds to switch classrooms on the 2nd floor into spaces for unsheltered families, so bring a little money, (or a lot, if you got). 7:30-9:30

We want to feature your fun!
