A CURATED CALENDAR FOR THE CURIOUS SLC EXPLORER
See full event listings at The Blocks Arts District

Santa is busy this week! Just in the nick of time, he pops into Asher Adams today at noon. There will also be carolers, wrapping stations, and a movie screening of Polar Express. Santa Claus in a beautiful train station? How perfect!

At City Creek Center, reservations are full to see St. Nick, but they do say that walk-ups are sometimes available. While you’re there, you can check out the new Design Within Reach (the first in Utah), Toys R Us (yup, they’re back!) Or, Gumps San Francisco–a truly immersive holiday experience!

Santa’d-out? Check-in at Gracie’s for Trash Moon Bluegrass Tuesdays 7-10pm.

Circle your calendar for next Wednesday and Last Hurrah at The Gateway. DJ sets, pop-up bars, game rooms, and Downtown’s only New Year’s Eve fireworks show! Plus Flanker, Flemings, and Rouser at Asher Adams will all have NYE special menus (make your reservation now). And, The Bruce, Dave& Buster’s, and Clark Planetarium will be open late.

Family still in town? Let them experience Ballet West’s Nutcracker, a community treasure. We found good tickets for the three post-Christmas shows for $53.

And for those wanting nothing to do with the holidays, Salt Lake Film Society stages a two-day Godzilla-Thon, including the 1974 classic, Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla.

Did Santa not bring you exactly what you wanted? Bring your Christmas stocking cash to the Downtown Farmers Market and treat yourself! Beautiful ceramics, luxury leather goods, fine aromatic soaps, and other quality, locally-made gifts and toys await. 10-2pm Civic Center.

We want to feature your fun!
