See full event listings at The Blocks Arts District

No, Celtic Thunder is not the Irish version of Thunder from Down Under. “What we try to do is lift you out of your seat and transport you over to Ireland for two hours,” said band member Ryan Kelly.  So while there will be dancing and singing, these boys keep it classy.  One show only at Eccles, $49+

Stephen King’s The Shining is getting great reviews at the Capitol Theatre. Apparently Mr. King said he liked this opera version better than the movie! Utah Opera takes on this massive production at the Capitol Theatre for just three more performances.

Last week The Blocks Arts District unveiled Kelli Freshman’s SONDERSLC project, a permanent, free outdoor art exhibit—and it is really rad! Wander over to Vasilios Priskos Way and check it out anytime!

Our favorite show on PBS Utah comes to the Eccles for one night only. Julia and Bridget, hosts of America’s Test Kitchen, will discuss developing recipes and who does all those dishes? Each ticket comes with an autographed book! Very limited seats available, 7:30pm.

Repertory Dance Theater’s Link Series presents Landscapes Within and Without–works by Mitsu Salmon and Kellie St. Pierre. Just three shows at Rose Wagner.

Enroll your little one into an immersive Wizarding Academy at Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum. Young witches and wizards will learn spells, trivia from Professor Snape, brew butterbeer, craft their own wand! Costumes encouraged. 10-noon at The Gateway.

The Downtown Farmers Market is winding down for the season, but not before we go out in full fall flair! With just two Saturdays left at Pioneer Park, now’s the time to soak up the music and the harvest. This Saturday, enjoy live music at 11:30, in partnership with the Mexican Consulate from Ulises Madrigal, known as “El Macizo de Michoacán,” 11:30-2pm.

The Garden Restaurant has reopened at the Joseph Memorial Building and that means the beloved and legendary Lion House Rolls have returned! Buttery, moist, and served warm with a pad of butter, these are rolled like a cinnamon roll on its side, which gives a very satisfying texture to peel off flaky layers.  The roll is just $1.69 and you can order with the soup of the day for just $6.49. The fast casual restaurant also brings back some other favs like the turkey cranberry and delicious turkey pot pie!

We want to feature your fun!
