See full event listings at The Blocks Arts District
Cool down with a cold pop and cult classic at The Broadway with Hundreds of Beavers, The Toxic Avengers, or Pans Labyrinth. Need some CGI in your life? Check out the Megaplex at The Gateway for blockbusters Jurassic World, Superman, and Smurfs!
They actually made THREE Toxic Avengers!
The quirky little Great Salt Lake Fringe Festival returns for a second week with 20 artists and groups performing theatre, dance, music, magic, storytelling, and more. To say the least, these shows are unique, filled with explosive creativity–completely uncensored and unadjudicated. The Gateway through Sunday.
Just a small selection of the avant-garde, kooky shows…
The Blocks Arts District’s popular Steppin’ on Main returns with Cultural Fire Events dancers. This Indigenous-led nonprofit brings the power of the powwow circuit to the people, with championship dancers and compelling singers. Each dance has a story that is explained before the passionate performances, that share the beauty of Native American culture. Friday, 8-10 at Eccles Theater.
City Cast celebrates 801 Day at the Gallivan Center with a beer garden by Second Summit Hard Cider, live music from The Siren Collective, food trucks, and an artisan marketplace. It’s a party for locals, celebrated by locals, celebrating locals. Friday, 6-9pm at the Gallivan Center.
The crowds start to thin a bit at the Farmers Market in August, which is ironic, because the amount of juicy peaches, tantalizing tomatoes, and sweet melons is bountiful! You can always cool down under the tents at the Level Crossing Beer Garden or enjoy an Apple Slush. Plus live music presented by The Blocks Arts District! This week Cactus Jacque performs.
The Salt Lake Public Library hosts a concert in commemoration for the end of World War II with a folk ensemble, violin, and vocals in a moving musical tribute honoring the sacrifice and shared history of a dark moment in history. Free, 2:30pm.

Scott Evans—humble impresario, social architect, and restaurant romancer—has hit another home run. He’s transformed the former Finca space on Regent Street into a new pizzeria that’s both more casual and more magnetic.
Big fan of the old Finca? Us too. You’ll still feel the heart in the space—but now it’s got bubbly crusts, ricotta-kissed meatballs, and a unique carbonara that breaks the rules. Oh, and they’re now open for lunch with amazing specials!
It’s buzzy. It’s cozy. It’s the kind of place you come back to. Pizza date, anyone?
We want to feature your fun!
