With some of the most breathtaking music in all of opera, Madame Butterfly, is a perfect entry point to the artform. This brand new production from Utah Opera features opulent costumes, immense sets, and… did we mention the music? Just five shows at Capitol Theatre.
Bring the pooch to the party at The Gateway for Bark at the Moon, a free fundraiser for The Humane Society of Utah. The dogs are the headliner, of course, but there will also be food trucks, beer garden, and live music. 5-9pm
A John Denver Tribute Concert starts at 2pm at Rose Wagner today and is out at 4pm. Do these people know their audience, or what? Also, Rocky Mountain High will be stuck in your head the rest of the day, guaranteed.
It had been too long since our last visit to Taqueria 27. On a beautiful spring day we sat on the patio, watching all the life of the 2nd and 2nd neighborhood. Pear-Bourbon-Smash in hand, we dove into Chile-Citrus Carnitas with tender slow-roasted pork topped with charred tomatillo salsa which featured bright and bold flavors. We will be back soon and often!
