A CURATED CALENDAR FOR THE CURIOUS SLC EXPLORER
See full event listings at The Blocks Arts District

Grab your mittens and your maracas — Disney on Ice presents Frozen & Encanto is skating into the Delta Center, November 6–9. We found tickets as low as $29!

A much different show across the street at The Depot, as Geoff Tate, formally of Queensrÿche, wails his decades of hits. (He is ranked 14th on Hit Parader’s list of 100 greatest metal vocalists of all time.)

Our find of the week is Infinity Song, a sibling group whose catchy indie vocal harmonies are soul, sunshine, and serotonin. They were heard busking in Central Park by Jay-Z who quickly signed them. You should hurry and buy a ticket at The Soundwell, $38.

Days before his death, Tchaikovsky finished the Pathétique Symphony and said, “I love it as I have never loved any one of my musical offspring before.” Trust us, under the baton of new music director, Marcus Poschner–the Utah Symphony will ensure you feel every note. Abravanel Hall, $28+

Ballet West Artistic Director Adam Sklute had to shelve the ballet adaptation of The Dream five years ago when everything shut down. So, the anticipation is high for the Bard’s story set in a magical forest filled with mischievous fairies and a comedic love story. Capitol Theatre,  $21+

Michael Sanders, the organizer of the Urban Flea Market always says it is “the best place to find a one night stand.” But there are hundreds of other treasures to pursue. Out-of-print vinyl, antique toys, and vintage signs are what we’re always hunting. The Gateway, 10-4pm $3.

Galeano’s Pomodoro Perfection

Downtown’s newest Italian eatery is serving up molto bene vibes on Main Street. Galeano’s Ristorante Italiano has taken over the old US Bank building (170 S. Main) and transformed it into a warm, family-filled trattoria with hand-cut pasta, vintage photos, and that irresistible scent of simmering tomato sauce.

Owner and chef Allan Galeano brings decades of culinary wanderlust—from Italy to New York to Park City—into a menu that’s both classic and comforting. Everything is made fresh in-house, right down to the pasta and sauces.

Downtown Alliance Executive Director Dee Brewer stopped in this week and declared the Pomodoro “great”—and honestly, that might be underselling it. Simple, silky, and finished with a snowfall of Parmigiano, it’s a $20 executive lunch that feels like a mini European getaway.
