A CURATED CALENDAR FOR THE CURIOUS SLC EXPLORER
See full event listings at The Blocks Arts District

Santa gets roasted at Wiseguys and comedians are coming cookies-loaded.

Nothing is sacred: the one-night-a-year work schedule, the cookie addiction, the questionable toy-distribution system, and Rudolph’s suspiciously glowing nose. “It's part roast, part holiday spirit, part group therapy — and 100% merry chaos.” Wiseguys, Fri+Sat, $17

The Temple Square Christmas lights are an annual tradition for Downtown. They’ll turn on at 4:30pm to 10pm and 6am to 8am every day through New Year’s Day. There are also many free concerts daily at Joseph Smith Memorial Building, the Conference Center and the Tabernacle. Check out the full schedule!

Get to Abravanel Hall to feel the majesty of Handel’s Messiah as an audience of passionate music lovers (like you!) and talented guest soloists come together to perform this timeless masterpiece. This annual event invites everyone to participate in the exhilarating “Hallelujah” chorus and more. Fri+Sat, 7:30pm, $14.50

It is Small Business Saturday! Celebrate our local businesses, local creativity and women-owned entrepreneurship. After years of vacancy, the historic Film Exchange building at 250 E 100 S has been reactivated and is now home to a collective of women-owned small businesses — MOMU, Books & Supply, Eats, Soleil Nail Studio, Eminent Ink Tattoo Shop, and Friendship Sign Co. Together, they’re hosting a festive new market called The Central City Gift Exchange on Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 10 AM–3 PM.

“A Drag Queen Christmas” is the longest running drag tour in America. Get ready for your favorite queens like Onya Nurve, Shea Coulee, Jewels Sparkles, Crystal Methyd, Suzie Toot, Bosco and Lydia B. Kollins. 18+ welcome. Sunday, Capitol Theatre, 7:30.
