If we were a judge on The Voice, we would smash our button for Josh Tatofi. This Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter from Hawaii blends his tender voice with Hawaiian sounds, R&B and soul. Some have called him the Polynesian Luther Vandross. See him at Soundwell, $39.

Named after the Utah County canyon drive, Alpine Loop sounds like it should be soft indie folk. But these brothers have some youthful angst energy and they are releasing it through energetic pop punk. Support local music at The Depot, $14.

Indigo Cook recently returned to Salt Lake City after receiving their master’s from UNC Chapel Hill. This summer they staged a work in a small Downtown alley that made us emotional.
So, we’re excited to see the latest collaboration between their company, Interdisciplinary Arts Collective and UMOCA. A world premiere using Cornelius Cardew’s seminal 1967 score, Treatise, presented in dialogue with the National Gallery of Art’s loan of Sol LeWitt’s Wall Drawing No. 309. The evening begins at 6pm and will travel throughout the museum space. Audience members are encouraged to move freely and may enter and exit the space during the 2-hour show.
Variety magazine named Saul Trujillo one of their top 10 comics, and from the video we watched, we agree. His blue-collar humor is self-deprecating and laugh-out-loud-funny. See him at Wiseguys!

Grammy-nominated Hayla primarily performs dance,pop, and EDM-style music, but on YouTube you can find unplugged performances where her emotional vocals and piercing lyrics are reminiscent of Tori Amos. The Complex.
