Icon Ken Sanders launches a new concert series tonight with a poetry reading by Gabriela Nelson followed by live music from guitarist VAL/IN/TIME and Morrow Morrow’s moody bluescape. Just $10 to be part of something that feels genuinely special at Ken Sanders Rare Books, 6:30pm.
Busker Fest is back!
Two days of international and homegrown street performers take over Eccles Theater's lobby, McCarthey Plaza, Regent Street, and every sidewalk in between. Kim Angeli and the Salt Lake Arts Council stack the block with jugglers, acrobats, comedians, musicians, magicians–we gave up counting how many acts there are this year! Let’s just say you will be entertained–it's a free for all, free for all ages, and just plain free!
Arrive early at Asher Adams for a free performance from SB Dance in the Grand Lobby. This troupe is known for athletic dancers, sultry artistry, live music, and quirky storytelling. Bonus: the performance will be staged inside the most unique hotel lobby in the state. See you at the lobby bar! Free, 8:30
You know JB Smoove as Leon from Curb Your Enthusiasm — the scene-stealing, logic-defying, endlessly quotable best friend Larry David never deserved (or maybe he did deserve? Hard to say). In real life he's a WGA award-winning writer, SNL veteran, and one of the sharpest comedic voices working today. Wiseguys, four shows over Friday and Saturday.
Diane Stewart’s Modern West Fine Art’s move back into downtown is warmly welcomed. Their Spring Salon is a group show worth wandering into — 23 artists, a riot of color, and work spanning painting, ceramics, photography, prints, and installation. World-class art is always just a few steps away in downtown. Through June 5.
We want to feature your fun!
