ON THE STREET: Style, Sips, Sandwiches, Sports Bars & a Sauna (Yes, Sauna!)
ELEVEN NEW CONCEPTS DOWNTOWN!
The pulse Downtown is vibrant, folks—along with being the cultural artery, entrepreneurs are finding the heart of our state to be energetic and full of possibility. Every block is humming with interesting concepts, new ideas, fresh storefronts, and creative risk-takers that keeps Salt Lake’s heart strong.
Trendy new retail on 100 South
The recently opened (and endlessly delicious) EATS Bakery has some hip new neighbors. Ali Vallarta with City Cast Salt Lake made us aware of the bright and adorable boutique, Momu at 250 E 100 S. They bring a cheerful style to the block and describe their mission as elevating “joy and inspiration to every corner of life.” If you're looking for a gift, or something unique for your wardrobe, stop in!

Next door, the enigmatic by-design Book & Supply also just opened with architecture books, high-quality art supplies, journals, stationary, and small delightful items. And finally, Soleil Nail Studio is giving the block some serious polish, literally!
Fonsi: Italian Sandwiches Incoming
Next door to Maxwell’s Tiny Bar and Vosen’s Bakery, Fonsi is loading in furniture for a Friday opening. The wonderful folks behind Monarca and Santo Taco (already beloved names around town) are bringing their flavor game to Italian sandwiches. Word is, owner Afonso has been obsessing over recipes for months. He’s ready to go head-to-head with Strada and Caputo’s. Expect sumptuous bread, bold fillings, and maybe a little friendly neighborhood rivalry.
Just down from Fonsi, Nutritious Bowls has opened in the CINQ Building at 530 West 200 South. Yes, the “fusion sports bar” has healthy options, but it also has a great burger, and a truly delicious butter masala that is comforting.
Health and Wellness at Pioneer Park
Across from Pioneer Park, Simply Skin Studios is offering organic facials, lashes, microblading, and skin care. And the owners are doubling down on the neighborhood, adding Elemntal Wellness in the old Bingham Cyclery location. Promising saunas, cold plunge rooms, organic juices, massage services, and a holistic reset. Spa day, anyone?
Impact Hub Impressing
Sizzurp Soda Lab on State Street is open now. They’re serving up “filthy sodas”—you know, creative flavored drinks, half & halfs, boosters, etc. Also inside Impact Hub is the very handsome Proper Barber, so while one is mixing your drink of choice, the other can sharpen your edges. (Only in Downtown do your soda and your sideburns get serviced in the same building.
Mother: Coffee by Day, Cocktails by Night
On Main, Josh has launched Mother, a clever twist on beverage culture: cool coffee shop during the day, Moroccan cocktail bar after dark. The coffee is PHENOMENAL. Hard-to-impress Carly Gillespie of the Downtown Farmers Market said it was the best latte she has ever had.
Paperbox Lofts
Finally, at Paperbox Lofts on 300 West, retail is filling in the cool live-work ground floor spaces. A new bodega is set to open soon and then there is Ancient Archives… Need a geode, fossil, jewel, or maybe a saber tooth tiger’s tusks? Well, they’ve got you covered. So much more awesome than a museum, because you can take your treasure home!
