SALT LAKE CITY - More than 21,000 people are expected to be at the Salt Palace this week to get a glimpse of the latest products and technologies made for the outdoors. The Salt Lake Convention and Visitors Bureau are estimating more than $19 million dollars will flow directly into Salt Lake City for this year's outdoor retailer show. "They estimate that the average attendee spends around $900 over the course of the week," said Mara Lansford. "With their hotel and their food and their entertainment."
Lansford said this is the only event in the country that allows thousands of retailers from all over the world to come together in one place to talk about their products.
The new vision for Salt Lake City encompasses ideas large and small, bold and restrained - for shaping downtown's future.
