Between the Outdoor Retailer Winter Market and the Sundance Film Festival, Utah's economy is about to have nearly $100 million pumped into it and local restaurants and businesses couldn't be more excited.

"It's huge," said Ben Steigers, the head sushi chef at Naked Fish Japanese Bistro. "The Outdoor Retailers Show and the extra business we get this week is going to help carry us through the rest of the year."

From the Naked Fish Japanese Bistro, to Red Rock Brewery, the story remains the same.

"We can do some of our biggest sales numbers over the next week," said Red Rock Brewery GM Sabrina Sanders.

January, February and March tend to be the busiest month for a lot of downtown Salt Lake businesses.

"Because you have skiers in town, when there's snow, and you've got the OR and Sundance," Sanders said.

The Sundance Film Festival is expected to generate around $70 million this year while the ORWM is expected to bring in around $20 million.

"There are people coming around, walking around and hanging around," Steigers said. "It's a fun time and an exciting week for us."

So does Steigers wish there were more weekends like this?

"Definitely," he said.

The ORWM runs through Sunday at the Salt Palace Convention Center while the final day of Sundance is January 29th.
