Free hop on, hop off "Jingle Bus", Holiday Market at Gallivan & window decorating contest.

Salt Lake City (November 21, 2012) – Holiday programming is set to begin Friday, November 23 to provide downtown visitors a way to connect major holiday destinations, as well as offer local shopping options and free activities.

Jingle Bus: Holiday season visitors to downtown can hop-on and off the FREE holiday themed ride circulating between The Gateway, Temple Square, Gallivan Plaza & City Creek Center.
Shoppers will find service especially useful to connect downtown's two malls, as well as sightseers enjoying the abundant holiday lights and storefront window decorations.

7 days a week, FREE. 5 PM – 10 PM through Dec 28.

Holiday Market at Gallivan Plaza: The Downtown Holiday Market at Gallivan brings holiday charm to Salt Lake's urban center with a focus on local and handmade goods. Shoppers will find unique, one-of-a-kind items, ideal for children or that hard-to-shop for person. Ginger snaps and a warm Scandanavian drink, glogg, will be provided by IKEA. Located near the ice skating rink.
Fridays and Saturdays, 11 AM – 8 PM through December 22

Windows & Lights: A major holiday draw of downtown is to view a wide array of light arrangements and elaborate storefront decorations. The Downtown Alliance has installed lights along popular streets to supplement lights at The Gateway, City Creek Center and Temple Square.
The candy window displays at Macy's, made popular by the old ZCMI department store, is another attraction expected to draw revelers of all age. Many other shop owners plan to decorate their businesses'; visitors can vote for their favorite window display at
