The Downtown Farmers Market was created in 1992 by the Downtown Alliance and has become a summer tradition for residents of Salt Lake City and beyond. The Market provides opportunities for local growers, food and craft artisans to display and sell items to the public.
Located in Historic Pioneer Park, the Farmers Market has been a growing success for the last 16 years. With the addition of the Art & Craft Market, it has evolved into one of the west's largest community markets. The focus of the Market is to provide local growers with the opportunity to bring fresh produce, as well as flora, bulbs, cheeses, eggs, jellies, directly to the public.

Food
- Food that is prepared on site is regulated by the Salt Lake Valley Health Department. Vendors must be compliant and licensed to participate in the Market. Call 313-6620 for info.
- Food that is prepared and packaged off site is regulated by the Dept. of Agriculture. Call 538-7159 for info.
- Food vendors that remain in good standing at the Market are invited to return the following year. We limit the number of food vendors so that we can offer a variety of products to the customers and profits to the food vendor. For these reasons, it can be difficult to get a spot in the Market. We place an emphasis on unique and healthly offerings.
- Vendors must commit to at least 15 weeks.
- The cost is 10% of sales.
- This category is for vendors selling processed foods that are prepared and packaged in an approved commercial kitchen or cottage kitchen. Please refer to the Utah Department of Agrigulture and Food's Outdoor Market Requirements:
