Downtown Kiosk & Banner Program

bannersThe Downtown Kiosk and Banner Program accepts applications annually for space in downtown streets and neighborhoods.

Kiosks

This is a great way to advertise events and activities occurring at a downtown Salt Lake City venue within the boundaries of the central business improvement district that are produced by local non-profit organizations, city and county government, or the State of Utah. There are six kiosks downtown with four windows on each available for rent. Only events and activities occurring at a downtown venue, within the boundaries of the central business improvement district, that are produced by local non-profit organizations, city and county government or the State of Utah will be accepted. Religious, political and for-profit promotional posters will not be accepted. The boundaries of the central business district are North Temple, 200 East, 400 South, and 500 West. Organizations, subject matter and poster content must be approved by The Downtown Alliance at least 30 days before the anticipated promotion schedule.

Banners

The banner program is another great way to advertise events and activities occurring at a downtown Salt Lake City venue within the boundaries of the central business improvement district that are produced by local non-profit organizations, city and county government, or the State of Utah. There are many banner locations. Banners on double bracket poles located on both sides of West Temple and State Street from South Temple to 400 South must be eight feet in length. Banners on the single bracket poles are located on Main Street, 200 West, 300 West and 200 East between North Temple and 400 South, and on South Temple, 100 South, 200 South, 300 South and 400 South between 200 East and 500 West, must be six feet in length.

A minimum contract includes 14 (for 6ft locations) or 28 (for 8ft locations) banners that generally cover both sides of the street for one block depending on the location. The maximum number of locations is limited only by the space available. Space can be reserved up to one year in advance.
