Enjoy the 4th year of a new downtown holiday tradition with the Old World Christmas Market beginning the day after Thanksgiving at The Gateway Mall in the Union Pacific Depot Grand Hall. Vendors will be located both indoors and out. The outdoor vendors are housed in traditional old-world style chalets and the vendor booths indoors with be decked out with holiday splendor.
The festive atmosphere at the Old World Christmas Market is modeled after the Christmas Markets of Europe. A yearly event with origins in Germany as early as the 1300's, the Old World Christmas Market is reminiscent of days past.
Visitors will be able to shop for one of a kind, handmade items by local artisans and crafters for holiday gift giving. There will also be food vendors offering traditional flavors of the season including baked goods, traditional German food, kettle corn, candied nuts, spiced cider, and hot chocolate as well as specialty packaged food items.
Simply put, the atmosphere at the Old World Christmas Market is irresistible!
